According to newspapers of the time Dutton Hall was bought by John Dewar in 1932, dismantled in 1933 and moved to his home near East Grinstead called Homestall, a former hunting lodge of John O'Gaunt. Dutton Hall had become incorporated into that house by 1936 and was known as Dutton Homestall. It later became the Stoke Brunswick School which closed in 2009.
